The Mishimoto MMTS-F2D-03FL Low-Temperature Thermostat and Housing improves the reliability of the cooling system in your 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. A defective thermostat can result in engine overheating and potential internal damage. This thermostat is designed as a direct-fit replacement for your aged factory unit. To make this a complete installation, Mishimoto includes their CNC machined 6061 aluminum thermostat housing. This upgraded housing design provides proper seal and will not rust over time like the factory housing.
The Mishimoto thermostat provides a lower activation temperature (185 Degrees Fahrenheit) compared to the factory thermostat (192 Degrees Fahrenheit). The lower activation temperature allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier, which reduces and maintains lower engine temperatures. This thermostat is ideal for use in warmer climates or under extreme towing/driving conditions.
